In less than two weeks, students throughout University of Michigan will submit an online ballot to determine who will represent the leaders and best as the President of the Central Student Government next year. Each year, the candidates campaign. They debate. They work to make their platform known, so that students can make an informed vote. Yet, some students report that they feel uninformed about who exactly the candidates are. Many either vote for their friends, or choose to support a party that generally aligns with their views. We at WOLV-TV want to fight that stigma; we want all students to log on to the election website on March 21st with a clear idea of exactly who they want to see lead us in the 2012-2013 school year. We want you to make an informed decision.
On Friday, March 16th, Wake Up with WOLV will be airing their first-ever “Meet the Candidates” special. All of the CSG Presidential candidates are invited to present their platform live as our anchors, Lauren Blanchard and Hadas Brown, relay the questions that you want to ask. These interviews will allow you to see the candidates in a candid format, and hear what they plan to do if elected.
WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! Send us your questions at email@example.com. We will ask the candidates as many questions as we can, so that students can get all the information they need to feel confident in their vote. Be sure to tune in to channel 55 in the residence halls Friday at 11 AM, and if you do not have access to a dorm television at that time, you can also watch it online once it is posted on our website.

What makes a good TV station? They get the story, they find what people want to watch and they do it well. This is also what we have determined goes into a good UMich Festifall booth. Not to be deterred by the rain WOLV was determined to come out strong to show Michigan students who we are and what we love to do.
While the rain may have foiled our plan to have several cameras running for the day, it certainly did not stop us from having a great time. Pictured below are a few of our lovely WOLV producers braving the rain. Pictured left to right: LC (News), Ben (News), Allison (Sports), Matt (Entertainment) doing recruiting.
A big thanks to everyone who came out to each set up the table, work the booth and say hi to us. This is the beginning of a great year…
If you could not find us at Festifall or were preoccupied navigating the maze of free t-shirts & candy and missed our booth, feel free to e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more info!
Hey everyone, welcome to the 2011-2012 school year! Now that the first week of classes is out of the way, it is time to think about some fun, new extra-curriculars.
The WOLV e-board has been working really hard the past few weeks to plan some great things for the coming year. A few things WOLV members might have to look forward to are Final Cut Pro workshops, social events, speakers and general awesome TV making! We are also looking into greatly expanding our digital presence. WOLV is a great place because we have the flexibility to do it all. We do everything from make our own graphics, to developing our own content, and technically directing our own shows! If you want to hear more about these opportunities this year please stop by our MASS MEETING: Wednesday, September 14 at 7 pm in the South Quad Ambatana Lounge (East Side of the building). ALSO, new this year, if you are a returning member, there is a meeting specifically for you too! This meeting is not mandatory, but it will help you get re-aquatinted with the station, hear about what’s to come for the year and make new station friends. This will be a GENERAL MEMBERS MEETING: Wednesday, September 14th at 7 pm (location TBA). If you ever have any questions, feel free to e-mail email@example.com for more information.
We are so excited to work with you all this year. “Wherever you go, GO BLUE”.
-Chelsea (General Manager)
I would like to thank everyone for their patience in waiting for the launch of the new WOLV-TV website! It has been a long process trying to completely revamp the old site, and I hope everyone appreciates the work that was put in.
I would like to ask that if anyone has any input about how the new site looks and works, please comment on this post below.
Thanks, and, uh…go blue.
