The Operations Department at WOLV is in charge of the behind-the-scenes maintenance on all of the station’s equipment. The tasks the Operations Department handles ranges from training crew members on proper use of cameras to troubleshooting and fixing the station’s technology. WOLV-TV has a large range of equipment to maintain – from the studio to the control room, we manage the cameras, a conglomeration of buttons, switches, and wires, and the office’s editing stations. The Operations Department needs tech-savvy individuals who can be an off-screen hero when things go wrong.
