The longest running show in the WOLV-TV News Department is “Newsfeed”, a nightly news program that airs LIVE twice a week! “Newsfeed” is a dynamic, exciting look at what goes on across campus. The content of the show covers the news of the day, be it campus, local, national, or global, as well as a wide variety of important events on campus. Newsfeed also regularly conducts interviews with prominent people of both the university and the national landscape. Past interviews have included Gubernatorial candidate Virg Bernero and University President Mary Sue Coleman. At news, no area of interest is off limits.
The News Department is fast, furious, and fun, and is the ideal destination for those interested in broadcast journalism, interviews, story writing, live studio and on-site production, and technical direction. There is something for EVERYONE at news and if you do not know what you want to cover, or want to report on a variety of stories, it’s a great place to start. “Newsfeed” goes out on channel 57 in all university buildings as Ann Arbor’s only local news broadcast. Watch it live 10 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays.
If you would like to be involved in the making of Newsfeed, send and email to the show’s producers, or attend a taping of the show.
